An HEA-accredited course of workshops and cross-discipline peer-observation, developing techniques of student-centred teaching and analytical reflection on practice.

Experience:

Second Year Media Arts Course:  Hollywood Star Performances (two seminars per week of 11 students each for 10 weeks).
A module introducing theoretical and critical concepts of acting and performance in popular cinema.

First Year Media Arts Course:  Film and Television Histories (two seminars per week of 14 students each for 10 weeks).
A core course covering a broad range of film and TV history. Modules taught:  Avant-Garde Film and Artists Video (introducing students to the use of the moving image in relation to fine art) and  Television 1930 to the Present Day.

Responsibilities:

* Planning and leading seminars
* Working closely with the convenor as the module’s sole fellow tutor
* Marking and moderating coursework, and giving feedback
* Designing and writing handouts for use in the course lecture
* Marking examination papers
